The Pewsey Vale Amateur Dramatic Society (PVADS) was formed in March 1930 by 17 people who were interested in performing plays and holding poetry readings. They performed two plays a year before WWII interrupted but went from strength to strength on resumption, never moreso than when performing the ever-popular carnival special “Tavern in the Town”.
