The Street Events listed below entail Road Closures from 6.00pm to 11.00pm on the notified dates:

- Main Procession - Sat 19 Sept 2009, starts 7.30pm Carnival Field
- Wheelbeero Race - Thurs 17 Sept 2009, register 5.30pm onwards for 8.00pm Bouverie Hall (No alcohol before the race)
- Wine Race - Thurs 10 Sept 2009, registration 6.30pm Bouverie Hall
- Car Boot Sale – Sun 13 Sept 2009, 8.30 am – 1.00pm, Carnival Field
- Other Outdoor Events
- Indoor Events
- Children’s Events
The following more or less regular events are not scheduled to take place this year:
- Outdoor Events – Plant Sale, Family Fun Day, Mobility Buggy Treasure Hunt.
- Indoor Events – Comedy Night (Hasbeens), Craft Fayre, Darts (2005 – Eric “Crafty Cockney” Bristow at Moonrakers, 2004 – Phil “The Power” Taylor in Bouverie Hall), Irish Evening, Open Mic, Pub Games Night, Rock Night (Hasbeens), Skittles.
- Children’s Events - Art Competition, Window Spotting Comp.

do we now just register for the wheelbeero race on the night? or as in previous years can we register early? it isn’t very clear on this website.
Admin: The last I heard, as blogged on ‘PADFAC Press’ and on ‘Entry Forms’ page, arrangements were to be “as previous years” – except for the insurance waiver that must be signed at witnessed on the night. If anyone else knows any different please comment and I’ll update the site …
This year you will need to enter on the day. It will be in the Bouverie Hall from 5pm onwards. Any barrows with generators will need to bring an insurance cover note for public liability and carry a fire extinguisher.
Children’s Carnival was great, a big step-up from previous years. Thanks to everyone involved. A few pics from the children’s fancy dress parade (some taken by my son, Ben):
