Road Closures

PEWSEY AND DISTRICT FEASTE AND CARNIVAL

 

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Pewsey and District Feaste and Carnival Committee have applied to Wiltshire Council for a temporary road closure Order under the Town Police Clauses Act 1847 to enable Carnival events listed below to proceed.

 

It is anticipated that the road(s) will be closed to all vehicular traffic (save in all cases of emergency)

 

Four Legged Event Saturday 16th September 2017 

From 6pm to 11pm:   the following roads will be closed to traffic.

A345 Road from Broomcroft Road to The Crescent including North Street, Market Place, River Street and Church Street.   The B3087 from Market Place to Ball Road and the High Street.

Local diversions around the village will be available.

Wheelbarrow Event Thursday 21st September 2017

From 6pm to 11pm:   the following roads will be closed to traffic.

The A345 road from Broomcroft Road to the Crescent including North Street, Market Place, River Street and Church Street.   The B3087 from Market Place to Ball Road. The High Street, Wilcot Road from North Street to Rawlins Road will be closed from 8pm to 9pm.

Local diversions around the village will be available.

Carnival Procession Saturday 23rd September 2017

From 6pm to 11pm:   the following roads will be closed to traffic.

A345 from the Old Hospital Road to Swan Corner. This includes part of Marlborough Road, North Street, Market Place, River Street, Church Street and Swan Road.   The Crescent from Church Street to Slater Road. Slater Road from the Crescent to Rawlins Road, Rawlins Road from Slater Road to Wilcot Road. Wilcot Road from Rawlins Road to North Street. The B3087 from Market Place to Little Anne, this includes High Street and Milton Road.

No local diversions around the village are available.

Any person wishing to object to the application must do so in writing or by email to Traffic Orders Team, Sustainable Transport Group, Wiltshire Council, Bythesea Road, Trowbridge Wilts. BA14 8JN. Email: TrafficOrders@wiltshire.gov.uk  

Any objection must be received at least five weeks prior to the event.
